How it works
- Pick your photos. One photo from your camera roll or computer.
- We fix them on your phone.Choose 1 to 5 rows of three and frame the photo.
- Save them back to Photos. The tiles into your camera roll, ready to post.
How a grid post works
Social profiles show posts three across. Cut one photo into rows of three, post the pieces in order, and your profile shows the photo whole: a 3 grid (one row), a 6 grid (two rows) or a 9 grid (three rows), up to 15 posts.
Brands use grid posts to launch a product, artists to show a big piece at full width, and travellers to share a panorama that would otherwise be tiny. A puzzle feed takes it further, with every new set of posts joining the ones before.
Plan it before you post
The preview shows your profile as it will look, with the gaps between posts and a number on every tile. Tile 1, at the bottom right, goes up first. Change the rows and the photo is framed again, kept off faces where it can be. Pick another layout under the photo for a carousel of slides, or any number of rows and columns.
Three tips
- Lead with your strongest image. Put the main subject in the top row, where eyes land first.
- End with a payoff. A detail worth finding rewards people who scroll down.
- Put the cuts in calm areas. Let seams fall on sky, water or plain backgrounds, not on faces or text.
Questions
What is a 3 by 3 grid post?
One photo cut into nine pieces, three across and three down, posted one after another so the profile shows the photo whole. Choose 3 rows here.
Can I make a grid for printing instead?
Yes. Choose Any grid under the photo and set the rows and columns you need. Each tile keeps the photo’s own sharpness. The photo splitter page explains printing a photo as a poster.
What if I already have posts on my profile?
That’s fine. The grid lines up as long as you post all of its tiles one after another. A grid of 3, 6 or 9 keeps your older posts in their columns.
Can I use a HEIC or RAW photo?
Yes. HEIC, JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and RAW photos all open. The tiles are saved as JPG.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Everything happens on your phone or computer, in the browser. Try it in airplane mode.
