How it works

  1. Pick your photos. From your camera roll, files or computer.
  2. We fix them on your phone.Your phone does the work. Nothing is uploaded.
  3. Save them back to Photos.Straight into your camera roll, or your Downloads on a computer.

How much smaller?

A full-screen phone screenshot is often a few megabytes as a PNG and a few hundred kilobytes as a JPG at Best quality. Photos saved as PNG shrink even more. Each file shows its new size before you save, so you can see the difference.

Questions

Why turn a PNG into a JPG?

Size. Screenshots and photos saved as PNG are often 5 to 10 times larger than the same picture as a JPG. Upload forms with a size limit, email attachments and chat apps all work better with JPG.

Can I do this without a website?

One file at a time, yes. On a Mac, open it in Preview, choose File, then Export, and pick JPEG. On Windows, open it in Paint and use Save as, then JPEG. On recent iPhones, the Files app can do it: touch and hold the image, then Quick Actions, then Convert Image. This page is faster for many files.

What happens to transparent areas?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent parts become white. For logos with see-through backgrounds, keep the PNG or try PNG to WebP, which keeps transparency and is still small.

Will text in screenshots get blurry?

At the default Best setting, text stays sharp. At Smaller you may see faint smudges around letters. If a screenshot must stay crisp, Best is the one to use.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. The converting happens on your device, in the browser. Try it in airplane mode.
