How it works

  1. Pick your photos. One wide photo or panorama from your camera roll or computer.
  2. We fix them on your phone.Choose the slide shape and how many slides, then frame it.
  3. Save them back to Photos. The slides into your camera roll, in order.

A panorama people can swipe through

A panorama posted as one photo shrinks to a thin strip. Split it into carousel slides instead and every part shows big, joining up as people swipe. Pick the photo and the number of slides is set to match its shape. Change it with the minus and plus buttons, from 2 up to 20 slides, the most one post can hold.

Choose 4:5 for the tallest slides and the most room in the feed, 1:1 for squares, or 1.91:1 for wide slides. Crop fills every slide edge to edge. Fit with padding keeps the whole photo and fills the space above and below with white, black or light grey.

See the swipe before you post

Under the photo, the preview works like the post: swipe the slides sideways, each one marked with its number. White lines on the photo show where each slide ends, and you can drag and zoom until the seams fall where you want them.

Three tips

  • Lead with your strongest image. The first slide decides whether anyone swipes, so put something striking there.
  • End with a payoff. A view, a reveal or a punchline on the last slide rewards the swipe.
  • Put the cuts in calm areas. Sky, water and empty ground hide a seam. The page keeps cuts off faces.

Questions

How many slides can a carousel have?

Up to 20 photos in one post. Some scheduling apps still stop at 10, so post longer carousels from the app itself.

Which slide shape should I use?

4:5 (1080 × 1350) takes up the most room in the feed. For a very wide panorama, 1.91:1 needs fewer slides. Every slide in one carousel has the same shape.

Why does the panorama not line up when I post it?

Check that the app hasn’t cropped the first slide to a different shape. When you add the slides, set the crop to the same shape you chose here, and keep them in the saved order.

Can I split a panorama from my iPhone?

Yes, HEIC and JPG both work. Safari on iPhone can hold about 16 megapixels at once, so a very long panorama is scaled down to that first. The page tells you if the slides would look soft.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The slides are cut on your phone or computer, in the browser. Try it in airplane mode.
